On the 10th April, Healthy Mind UK visited Springfield Primary School as the first part of a three day project that will be conducted over the coming months.
The first part of the programme was called ‘Brain child’, this workshop was delivered to all the children across school, over the course of the day.
During the session, the children were introduced to the ‘6 A- Day’ model which represented the different parts of the brain. As the session developed Healthy Minds UK spoke to the children about the importance of looking after the brain and how to stimulate all 6 brain parts in order to maintain a healthy brain and therefore a healthy mind.
The highlight of the day for the children was being able to enter the 8ft Brain Dome which came with lights, music and brain information.
The children cannot wait for their second session ‘Mind Trekkers’.
