Foundation
Gruffalos enjoyed problem solving how to get the balls from 1 ball pit to another without touching them or going on the ground. We also made broomsticks, inspired by the story ‘Room on the Broom’.
Year 1
The Year 1 children went outside during their Science lesson. Our topic is Seasonal Change so we were investigating the weather.
Year 2
For our outdoor learning day, Fantastic Foxes used chalk to draw ‘Part Whole’ models. We really enjoyed taking our maths learning outdoors.
Year 3
Year 3 went outside out to look at soil in the Foundation garden. We were using our skills to explain and describe what it was made from.
Year 4
On Thursday, Hogwarts took advantage of the dry weather to begin their new science topic on sound. The children went outside and worked collaboratively in small groups to investigate what happens to the volume of a noise as you move further away from the source.
Year 5
The Hobbits spent a Spanish lesson outside, learning numbers. We played a game where we had to continue the number pattern as a group.
Year 6
BFGs were developing our understanding of fractions by writing the factors of different numbers down. The children used the open space to set this out how they wanted.
